Support Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity at the 2022 TeeHC Open

Hilarity for Charity, or HFC, was founded in 2012 by Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen after Lauren’s mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at just 55 years old. Facing a disease with no cure and the isolation of being caregivers in their 20s, Seth and Lauren created HFC to care for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, activate the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates, be a leader in brain health research and education, and bring light – in awareness and levity – to an otherwise very dark disease.

Our team at the TeeHC Open aim to support causes we care deeply about through our industry-disrupting event. That’s why we are proud to make HFC one of our featured Charity Partners in the 2022 TeeHC Open. (Plus, our mascot, Happy, has something of a crush on Seth Rogen…)

We sat down with the Hilarity for Charity team to chat about their journey in business and the importance of networking.

What helped you grow the most in your first few years of business?

Seth and Lauren relied heavily on their expertise as comedians and storytellers. They leveraged their celebrity network to throw star-studded, comedy-driven fundraising and awareness events. Having a strong network of changemakers played a significant role in the growth of Hilarity for Charity.

It was immediately apparent that they had a unique platform from which to reach young people. Using their connections and industry experience, the Rogens created an organization that connected families and individuals to make an otherwise isolating experience a more powerful one.

Harnessing the irreverent voice they were known for, HFC’s legacy programs grew out of their personal experience and their dedication to creating a community for young people and families impacted by Alzheimer’s.

How important is networking to your organization?

At Hilarity for Charity, storytelling is change-making. By leveraging their network connections, encouraging sharing, and amplifying stories, HFC works to reduce the stigma associated with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, raise awareness around the importance of living a brain-healthy life, and ultimately transform the experience of caregivers and their families.

Without the years of networking and creating deep, meaningful connections that Seth and Lauren, and the HFC team had done, the organization may not be where it is today.

What’s your best piece of advice for other entrepreneurs?

“Stick to what you know! Seth and Lauren founded Hilarity for Charity on the pillars of comedy and storytelling because that’s what they knew best. When you capitalize on your strengths, you create a strong foundation for consistent, scalable, and authentic success.”

As part of our partnership with Hilarity for Charity, a portion of all 2022 event proceeds will be donated to HFC’s programs. When you register to attend, you will receive exclusive access to some of the best and brightest in the cannabis industry.

Much like how Hilarity for Charity leveraged its connections to build something amazing, you and your team will have the same opportunity at the TeeHC Open. The team at HFC said, “We hope it’s a tee-riffic time!”
