What inspired you to start Azalla Wellness?

“We wanted everyone to learn about and be able to manage their endocannabinoid system for optimal health!” 

The overarching goal of Azalla Wellness is to empower individuals to proactively manage their health and lead fulfilling lives. Through cannabis, they hope to help others foster enduring health benefits and an enhanced quality of life. 

One of the crucial endeavors undertaken by Azalla Wellness revolves around eliminating the deeply ingrained stigma surrounding cannabis. They firmly believe that this stigma originated from notions of greed, racism, and exploitation, thus necessitating a concerted effort to restore the rightful position of this plant. 

Through these principles, Azalla Wellness was created to not just hope for, but actively work toward a society where individuals embrace holistic wellness and actively contribute to the betterment of their health and that of their communities.

What helped you grow the most in your first few years of business?

“We are still in our first few years of business and looking for opportunities to grow,” said Caitlin Bernhard. The team hopes networking in this space will prove to be helpful in growing their business. 

As a non-traditional cannabis networking event, the TeeHC Open hosts brands of all sizes, from startups and well-established MSOs (multi-state operators) alike. 

For unique brands like Azalla that are just starting out, networking provides a rich learning experience as well as an incredible opportunity to get their brand in front of potential clients or referrals. 

What’s your best piece of advice for other entrepreneurs?

“Education, education, education.” Continuous learning is a business investment that will pay off at any stage of your growth. Particularly as cannabis professionals in an ever-changing industry, understanding the plant is critical.

From its origins and troubled history in the United States to its scientific properties and potential health benefits, it’s important that anyone in the industry – plant-touching or not – learn as much as they can. 

Azalla addresses this need by providing training and educational programs to dispensaries and brands. This includes Certified Responsible Vendor Trainers for the Massachusetts cannabis industry as well as cannabis and wellness educational presentations for corporations.

What are you looking forward to the most about the 2023 TeeHC Open?
