Dreams Do Come True

A Message from our CEO & Founder of TeeHC Open: Seth Worby

“It’s in the hole!, holy shit…. Hole-in-one!” were the hollers from the foursome playing golf in front of us, when I got my first hole-in-one last week. I didn’t see the ball go in the hole but I knew from their reactions – it was in.

Rewind to 14 years ago, when I founded my first company, Champ Internet Solutions – at that time in 2009 – it was a dream realized.

I immediately wrote and published a blog post on our company’s first website about five other life-long aspirations I wanted to achieve:

  • The first was to get a Hole-in-One
  • Two was winning the lottery
  • Three becoming a participant on Jeopardy
  • Fourth was to own a professional sports team and
  • Lastly to write a book

Quick update 14 years later.. I haven’t found the time to write a book yet, nor have I been on Jeopardy (we miss you Alex), I rarely play the lottery, and owning a professional sports team seems like a lot a work – plus you need a billion dollars. However, I am excited to announce the dream of getting a Hole-in-One has been realized.

Why am I writing to tell you this? Most people ask.. isn’t it just luck?

Like anything in life, you need to put yourself in a position to succeed. It’s one thing to dream – another to work towards a goal. Admittedly, five years ago – I sucked at golf. But I applied myself in my free time and worked on getting better. I’m still not the best I can be – we never are – in the game of golf and the game of life. But I got to a point where I put myself in a position to realize another one of my dreams.

No matter what your current professional dream may be.. get a promotion, make the big sale, find the perfect job, start your own company.. put yourself in a position to succeed. Meet the right people, spread the word about your greatness and capitalize on the position you put yourself in.

When we started Cannabis Creative Group five years ago, I dreamed that we would create an amazing networking event to bring our industry together. I couldn’t be more pleased with how my dream came to life last year, and look forward to seeing you at the 2nd Annual TeeHC Open this year.

DREAM!
